Video: Wisconsin Autumn Morning Landscape Photography in Black and White

Walk with me on a quiet, foggy autumn morning as I photograph fall foliage, and many other things, in black and white.

The day started early on the misty shores of Lake Monona in Madison. I explored a beautiful wooded area bordering the lake, just a few blocks from downtown Madison. I looked for vivid yellow leaves in the trees, to give contrast to the dark tree trunks and branches. It may seem strange to shoot fall foliage in black and white, but I enjoy the look.

PS: The vole running in circles was a bizarre thing to witness. He seemed unconcerned that I was there. I researched later to discover it’s not a good indicator for his health — probably a brain disease that would lead to his imminent demise.
