Annie’s work is legendary but this disappointing show didn’t do her justice
There’s no question that Annie Leibovitz is a living legend, but the underwhelming presentation style of the show — loose sheet prints thumbtacked to walls behind glass doors — did not honor her legacy or show her prints in the best light.
The exhibition at Charlotte’s Mint Museum Uptown offered a lot of work from her early days through some of her most famous images. So, why did they choose to present the show like a college photo class critique session with pictures tacked to walls?
