From today’s Instagram: Two large fuzzy acorns from a bur oak tree

Bur oak trees produce the largest acorns of any North American oak tree (and they’re fuzzy!)

On my hike today I picked up these two huge bur oak acorns with distinctive fuzzy caps. I decided to bring them back to the studio for a still life.
