Finding a sparrow’s nest in the snow
When you take your camera for a walk, you never know what you will discover — sometimes nothing. I went off-trail on a very frigid, snowy morning, pushing through tall grass, frozen streams, and lots of briars. Startled deer were leaping all around me.
Then this sparrow’s nest appeared in front of my boots, like a gem on the white path. It’s been a long term wish of mine to photograph a bird’s nest — to fully examine it’s structure, and study it in detail with the lens of a camera.
