Australian buyers may be able to save hundreds of dollars on shipping with a ShopMate account
I get a lot of interest on my photography website from international customers, but shipping photographs internationally can be quite expensive. I recently shipped a carton of two photographs to a collector in Germany, at a cost of more than $250 USD.
Shipping to Australia may be even more expensive. But, I recently learned from a buyer in Australia about a service called ShopMate — provided by the official Australia Post — which allows Australian residents to buy American products and have them shipped to a US mailing address, where they are then forwarded inexpensively to Australia. In her case, the shipping cost on a photograph from the US to Melbourne was reduced from $264 to about $35 USD.
As you can see, the savings can be substantial. We encourage Australian buyers to investigate ShopMate, if you don’t already have an account.
