Interesting 2021 year-end stats for the Fine Art Photography Podcast
Below are some interesting stats from the year 2021 for the Fine Art Photography Podcast. If you’re a listener, thank you! The audience is small but growing daily.
Number of subscribers (it’s complicated)
Stats for podcasts are fragmented. There’s no central place to see a total number of subscribers. Spotify’s subs and Apple’s subs are counted separately, and most channels provide podcasters with no data. The podcast host, where the episodes are housed, provide their own stats which are independent of other channels where you can listen. My estimate is around 500-600 subscribers for the Fine Art Photography podcast, based on the numbers I can see. I currently have 294 subs on Spotify, where I add a few new subscribers every day.
According to Anchor, my podcast host, I’ve had a total of 15,701 listens since launch (as of Dec. 2, 2021 — publication date of this blog post)
Admittedly, this is a small audience, but a loyal and passionate one. I hear from listeners on a regular basis. Feedback is overwhelmingly positive, which is great because the podcast is a labor of love.
I research, write, and record every episode by myself.
