Swagruha Indian Restaurant in Nashville Farmer’s Market

I love this Indian take-out restaurant in the Nashville Farmer’s Market. The food is super spicy but the flavors (and the heat level) reminds me of the food I had on my trip to Kerala state in South India many years ago. They have four-star reviews on Yelp, and on Google. Of course, they are in the Farmer’s Market, so you order from a counter and dine at one of the tables in the center, like a mall food court. Your food is served on a styrofoam plate with plastic ware, so we aren’t talking about a white table-cloth experience, but the market is eclectic and energetic, and the people-watching is pretty good.

I ordered vegetarian rice, with naan, curry chicken, and chicken tikka, and added a veggie samosa. My tab before tip was under $11.00. The woman behind the counter warned me that the chicken curry is very hot, and it is, but I love that — it hurts so good. My recommendation: Try it
