Looking at pictures of strangers’ lives from the 1950s caught on medium-format slide film

These 1950s era medium-format slide film images are seated in glass mounts made by GoldE, a Chicago-based company that manufactured heavy metallic slide projectors and glass mounts for slides.

I found them in a shop in town, and have no information about who is pictured in the images or where they were taken.

In this video, we look in detail at a set of vintage film slides mounted in GoldE brand glass slide mounts. I don’t know the people in the images or the name of the photographer. I think they were made in Europe in the 1950s.
This slide seems to show a mother and daughter. The color of the film is gorgeous, but it's sad that their descendants no longer possess these images. They people pictured are almost certainly gone, and the memories of these events are lost.

I’m guessing they were made in Europe, maybe Switzerland or Austria.

As you can see, some of the images have discolored badly, turning vivid magenta. I color corrected them as much as I could.
