Picture of a rabbit with a portrait of an ancestor?
I photographed this rabbit grazing at Three Rivers Petroglyph Site in New Mexico, near a rabbit head symbol scratched into the rock 800 – 1,000 years ago (bottom left corner). Could an artist have carved this petroglyph based on an ancestor of this very creature? Obviously, rabbits have grazed at this spot for millennia.
