Hey everyone, check out my 3-minute video discussing Edward S. Curtis seminal photograph Canyon de Chelly – Navajo. I did a lot of research into this, and wrote and produced it all myself. Curtis was an interesting guy and this is a great example of his landscape work.
E.S. Curtis was one of America’s first rockstar photographers. With the support of Theodore Roosevelt and J.P. Morgan, he was able to trek the American West and capture a treasure trove of imagery of America’s vanishing native people.
Northwestern University’s digitized version of Curtis’ “The North American Indian” can be found at this link.
I’m no rockstar, but I am a photographer too. Check out my black and white photographs at www.keithdotson.com.
