Landscape Photography: Roots, Rocks, and a Waterfall

Behind-the-scenes video: Follow fine art photographer Keith Dotson on a hike to photograph a scenic waterfall

Black and white photographs begin at 3:54

In this video I return to the waterfall where I dropped and killed my beloved 70-200 mm lens a few years ago. It was a steamy July day and this popular waterfall / swimming hole was already occupied when I arrived at 8 a.m. It’s an amazing location, just don’t drop any lenses on that rocky ground.

The tree roots along the stream and pool are insanely great: gnarly, twisted, thick, and mossy.
