Video: Nature Sounds from an Ancient Wetland

In this video, the beautiful sounds of Spring emergent (headphones recommended)

The reason I started a YouTube channel was to help give people a richer sense of what it’s like to be out on location making photographs.

This video is a sensory experience — the sounds of nature as Spring emerges. It’s best experienced with headphones.

The place we are visiting is archaeologically significant. It’s had almost continuous human occupation for at least 12,000 years.

I like to imagine that those very early people heard the same sounds as we can hear today. It’s a connection to nature and a direct line to the prehistoric people who lived and hunted in these woods millennia ago.

For this hike, I pulled out the Hasselblad 503CM.
